Gitea is a lightweight, open-source Git service for self-hosting source code. It provides Git repositories over HTTP and SSH together with issues, pull requests, code review, wikis, packages, and Gitea Actions for CI/CD. This package deploys the official gitea/gitea image as a single container. Repository data is persisted in a named volume mounted at /data, the web UI is published on port 3000, and Git over SSH is exposed through the configured SSH port. No external database is required for a default single-node deployment. Typical use cases include private source code hosting, small team collaboration, and a lightweight alternative to larger Git platforms.
